Quick Wrap: Nifty IT Index registers a drop of 3.24%

Nifty IT index closed down 3.24% at 28913.95 today. The index has lost 9.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Coforge Ltd fell 5.38%, Infosys Ltd dropped 4.34% and HCL Technologies Ltd slipped 3.70%. The Nifty IT index has decreased 18.00% over last one year compared to the 5.78% fall in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Realty index has slid 2.23% and Nifty Metal index gained 1.79% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has slid 0.86% to close at 23431.5 while the SENSEX has declined 1.08% to close at 74764.23 today.
